Conveyor Belt Tensioner, Manual Screw Adjustment, Stainless Steel 100-3-SS-SF-BP
Screw-adjust telescoping-style conveyor belt tensioners each consist of an adjusting rod that is enclosed in a sealed telescoping tube. As the rod is turned, the tube extends or retracts to adjust the tension on the conveyor belt to ensure proper tracking so that the belt continues to follow the desired path during conveying. The tube protects the rod from corrosion, material buildup, or impact damage that could cause the tensioner to freeze up, making these tensioners suitable for use in contaminated environments. Conveyor belt tensioners (also known as take-up units) maintain a desired amount of tension on a conveyor belt to ensure proper tracking so the belt continues to follow the desired path during conveying. One belt tensioner is mounted to each side of the conveyor frame, and the bearing that supports the conveyor belt pulley is mounted to the tensioner. The tensioner allows the position of the pulley to be adjusted in order to maintain tension on the belt as it elongates during use.
